Dr. Mario Godinez
Dr. Mario Godinez received his training at California State University Northridge and the UC San Franciso School of Dentistry. Dr. Godinez was inspired to learn and practice dentistry by a dentist that he worked for during college. He loves science and working with his hands, and being a dentist fulfills the things he is passionate about and enjoys. Because dentistry combines science, physiology, anatomy, artistry, engineering, and architecture, it challenges him to be a student for life.
Dr. Godinez says, "I love the continuity of learning techniques, procedures, and how to use technology to improve on my day to day craft of dentistry as it has a direct impact on my patient's care. I also love that I can provide life-changing treatment and care for my patients and relieve the fear of dental care just by being compassionate and gentle."
When he's not taking care of patients, Dr. Godinez is an avid surfer and mountain biker, which he enjoys doing with his son. You might also find him engaging in the occasional home improvement project. Running, strength training, listening to music or podcasts, traveling, or taking road trips are also passions of his.
Office Manager and Treatment Coordinator
Alexandra lives in San Marcos and is married to Dr. Godinez. She's an integral part of our dental team and the first person you'll see when you visit Mario A. Godinez, DDS.
Alexandra says, "I love helping people with their healthcare needs. I love that I can connect with people beyond their dental care and talk about family life, vacations, and sharing stories on travel or raising kids. I love being the first person to greet a patient and welcome them to the practice for the first time or welcome back a loyal patient."
When she's not caring for patients, Alexandra enjoys watching her son play soccer, listening to podcasts, listening to e-books, travel, spending time with her husband and family, and gardening.
Caitlin, one of our dental assistants, is originally from North County San Diego, where she attended La Costa Canyon High School before moving on to earn her dental assisting certificate from Kaplan College. She joined our team in 2020.
"I find dentistry to be one of the most exciting career fields out there. Everyone has teeth, and yet, everyone’s biology is different."
When Caitlin is enjoying her spare time, you will often find her riding motorcycles with her husband and friends. She stays active by taking her dog on long walks and hikes. Caitlin can also be found playing video games, cooking, and spending time with her family watching motorcycle racing on the weekends.
Kristin grew up in Encinitas and has been with the practice for nearly eight years. She feels that one of the best parts of her job is getting to know her patients and their families and inspiring them to achieve and maintain a healthy and beautiful smile. She also understands that continuing her education and training helps her patients get the best results possible.
When she's not with patients, you'll find Kristin spending time with her two daughters, family, and friends. She also enjoys cooking, hiking, and decorating.
Taylor is from Riverside, CA, and she received her training from the University of Pacific Dental School. Taylor understands that good dental health is essential for achieving good overall health. Her favorite part of her job is helping her patients achieve their dental goals, which then results in excellent overall well-being.
When she's not at the dental office, you'll find her spending time with her husband, family, and friends. For Taylor, beach days are the best days because she loves to be outside.
